We are just weeks away from our London to Amsterdam bike ride.

After many months of training and preparation we are edging closer to our big event. We’d really appreciate it if you would be able to help us and the Great Ormond Street hospital by sponsoring us – any amount will help.

Sponsor us on Virgin Money Giving

A big thank you to all of those who have already been kind enough to sponsor us. Your generosity is very much appreciated and will really help us to endure over 30 hours of cycling to complete our trip.

We are pleased to say that we now have a chosen team charity whom we will be raising valuable funds for on our London to Amsterdam Bike Ride 2010:

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity

We will be raising money to enable Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide world-class care for its young patients and their families and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illness by:

1. Contributing to the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital
2. Funding the most up-to-date equipment
3. Supporting research into, and development of, breakthrough treatments
4. Providing accommodation and other support services for children and their families

Find out more about why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity needs our help.

Details of how to sponsor us will follow shortly.

Here we go again!

We started talking about organising another cycle trip before we’d even arrived at our destination during our very first trip the London to Paris bike ride in September. We wanted to complete a trip which was similar in many ways, i.e. starting from London and finishing in a major European city, but this time extend the trip by at least a day by covering a longer distance.

Many ideas came to mind, some good and some bad but when London to Amsterdam was mentioned, all of us we’re interested. We were all keen to start planning the next cycle ride. I plotted the route on Google Maps as soon as we returned from Paris, whilst Ed and Dave completed their own detailed itinerary and oddly enough we all came up with the same route, which is as follows:

So that’s the plan so far. I’m sure things will change as the event gets closer, just like it did for London to Paris, but the basic structure seems solid.

The four of us (Apple, Ed, Dave and myself) are all agreed and looking forward to this bike ride. Now we are just seeing who else is up for it. Are you?
